• Eddy Current Sensor
- Eddy-Current Sensor are non-contact devices capable of high-resolution measurement of the position and change of position of any conductive target.
- The Eddy current creates an alternating magnetic field in the target material when high-frequency current flows through the coil close to the conductors, and the interaction of the magnetic field is dependent on the distance between the probe and the target.
- As the distance changes, the electronics sense the change in the field interaction and produce a voltage output which is proportional to the change in distance between the probe and target.
- Therefore, they are particularly suitable when distance of several tens millimeter is measrued in environments.
